Concerns About Bias in Traditional Education

Many parents are keenly aware that in recent years schools have been increasingly introducing subtle political and cultural bias into their child’slearning environment. Those parents are alarmed that this trend continues to growwithout their priorknowledge or consent. Schools have often been promoting values and morals that are not necessarily sharedby the parents. This should be of great concern to all parents.

Our Mission: Empowering Teens Through Critical Thinking

The Greenlight Institute of Critical Thinkingisan online institute dedicated to offering high-quality alternative education, notstate-sanctioned indoctrinationto teenagers by providing them with essential tools such as critical thinking, logic, and reason that will prepare the student to navigate this rapidly-changing world with greater awareness, enhanced confidence and a stronger sense of purpose.

The Difference Between Facts, Knowledge, and Wisdom

Facts and data are not knowledge. And knowledge is not wisdom. Wisdom is the practical application of broad knowledge at the right time in the right situation that will ensure us to have better judgement better life choices. The purpose of this curriculum is to accelerate the acquisition of that wisdom that too many people do not achieve until much later in life.

Our 25-Week Curriculum: Building a Broad Perspective and Lifelong Passion for Learning

By the end of this 25-week course, our goal is help nurture well-rounded teenagers who will be able to understand and talk about at least 25 different subjects informatively, giving them awider world-view that will allow them to make well-balanced decisions to create positive change in the world.
It is also to inspire a life-long passionfor knowledge and learning that the state educationsystem fails to nurture.
